about

The Ice Queen has placed herself in a position of absolute power over her heart and world, freezing her emotional range to the slow creep of a glacier. Nothing and no one can get under her skin, but what did her invulnerability really cost her?

lyrics

If you feel my hands
You'll feel frost
I rule the frozen lands
The wandering and the lost
Ive had to hibernate
Right here, beyond the big stone gate
Put this burning blood to rest until the season comes
Im as old as the mountain
And the peak is my throne
My mind as hard and sharp as the sword
On my hip
And the crown
Adorning my head

I-I wanna be your Ice Queen
If you could just entice me
I could be the last thing you ever did need
I-I wanna be your Ice Queen
Cos my eyes are all-seeing
I see you'll be the last king to conquer this peak

I've been playing this game
for so long
I'm happy just to wait
Observe and listen before I charge
So I sleep with the wolves hidden
In the crevasse
Of my own defense
The trees die slowly
Like everything else
And the mountain shifts even slower
But I am on the move
I can tell you that
I am on the loose
Inching forward like a glacier
Have to make it clear
You wont even see me coming cos
Im a veteran in this war
I was here long before
Your platoon arrived to check me out
Its so natural
Youre a beautiful mortal
And your breath condenses in the air
For the first time
A shiver in my spine
I feel cold inside

If you could just entice me
I could be the last thing you ever did need
I-I wanna be your Ice Queen
Cos my eyes are all-seeing
I see you'll be the last king to conquer this peak

about

Jessiquoi Bern, Switzerland

Hi! My name is Jess, why 'Jessiquoi' then, you ask? Well, when I was a kid my little brother used to call me that, it sounded like 'Jessic-waaaah!' when he was trying to get my attention. When I got older I thought I'd be really clever and give it French spelling to make it sound like the phrase 'that certain je ne sais quoi'. Now I'm That Certain Jessiquoi, you see? It's OK. No one gets it. ... more
